Social Media, Mentorship and Students as Co-Designers
Created by Hananeh Esmailbeigi, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Bioengineering and the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies and Darius Ansari, UIC Undergraduate Bioengineering Student.
The purpose of the BIOE 399 course is for bioengineering students to develop job searching and career development skills. Networking is one of the most crucial aspects to developing a career in bioengineering, and facilitating student interaction with alumni/classmates/industry speakers via social media is a simple yet effective example. We aim to provide a social platform for student interaction with their classmates and alumni.
